Superstar Weekly Newsletter 9-13-24

Superstar families,

It was a great week at Brook Park School and our students did an amazing job practicing our fire drill and today our lockdown drill. While we always hope we do not ever have to use either of these, it is always best to be prepared.

Executive Functioning:

This school year we are going to be focusing on students' executive functioning strategies. Each month we will give different tips and strategies parents can use to help work on these at home. The first skill we are working on is working memory.

Therapy Dog Information and Opt Out:

Therapy dogs are trained to provide comfort, emotional support, and a sense of calmness to those they interact with. They can also promote social and emotional development, reduce anxiety, and increase happiness among students and staff.

We are excited to welcome back Sailor into our schools and look forward to more positive experiences in the upcoming year. For more information, please visit the link above or reach out to Cathy Cannon at [email protected].
