Superstar families,
Happy Spring Break! We hope everyone has a restful and relaxing break and we will see everyone back at school on Tuesday, April 2nd. There are a few things coming up as we head into Spring Break:
Solar Eclipse Reminder:
We are very excited to participate in the viewing of the Solar Eclipse happening during the school day on Monday, April 8th. In order to ensure everyone’s safety, we have purchased approved glasses for the entire school. In order to participate, you MUST fill out this permission slip (one per child) in order for them to be able to participate. The permission slip must be filled out by Friday, April 5th. Huge thank you for everyone that has already filled out a form and we are already over 500 forms completed. Thank you and we look forward to celebrating this exciting event!
National School Library Month:
April is National School Library Month! Help us celebrate by donating new books from our Amazon Wish List. Students love checking out new books! Each grade level can donate from a different category, but if one wishlist is fulfilled, feel free to choose from another. We will be collecting books throughout the entire month of April. Bins will be located at doors #1 and #21 where students can place their donated books. The students and staff of Brook Park thank you!

Social Emotional Learning
This week, students in kindergarten, first grade, and second grade learned about having a growth mindset. Students in third grade, fourth grade, and fifth grade practiced solving problems they might encounter with others. The School Social Work Corner is a great place to visit for more information on what students practice during our school wide social emotional learning lessons.
