Superstar Families,
What a very exciting day today at Brook Park! We had our 5th grade band Superstars perform for all the students along with the 6-8 grade Warriors. Our 3rd grade students did an amazing job becoming famous people and performing their wax museum class project. There are a few items before the weekend including a survey on technology we are hoping evey family will fill out.
BrightBytes Survey
We are partnering with BrightBytes, an educational research and analytics company, in order to learn more about our students’ school and home technology use for learning.
We are reaching out to ask you to take part in our District 95 BrightBytes questionnaire. Your participation is essential in helping us form a more complete picture of technology use for learning in your students’ lives. Please know that all of your responses will remain anonymous to protect your privacy and they will help your child's school make the best technology decisions for their classrooms. It will take approximately 5 minutes to complete.
The last day to complete this questionnaire is Monday, May 1, 2023
Please go to: www.BByt.es/FU8YP
All students in grades 3-5 will be taking a survey during Digital Media Class over the next two weeks.
Thank you for taking part in this important process!
KKids Shoe Drive:
The KKids shoe drive is officially wrapped up. Our community collected 1,325 pairs of shoes for people in need! Thank you to everyone for stepping up and donating! You helped make this drive a huge success.
5th Grade Clap-Out:
On the last day of school, Friday, June 2nd Brook Park School will be having our “Superstar Clap Out” for the fifth grade students. This is the fifteenth year of this special tradition, where the younger students and staff will cheer/clap for the fifth graders as they take one final lap around the hallways of Brook Park School. This will begin at 2:20 and will end around 2:35 when the students exit through the outside doors (21) by the gym. Parents are welcome to line the sidewalk outside the small gym doors to help with the celebration. Fifth grade students that take the bus will be led out to their usual bus but still exit through Door #21. Please send the office/teacher a note if you are changing your child’s dismissal for the day.
SEL Blurb:
During this week's Social Emotional Learning lessons, kindergarteners, first and second graders reviewed the difference between tattling and reporting. Third, fourth and fifth graders practiced cooperation. More information in the pictures below or linked above.
