Maternity Leave Note from Ms. King:

As many of you know, I am expecting a baby in early March. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, I will be taking maternity leave beginning on March 2nd through the remainder of this school year. I will return this summer and for the beginning of next school year. I will of course have access to email throughout the duration of my leave, but will not be checking it as frequently.

If you need to contact me throughout my leave, you can certainly reach out via email, just keep in mind it may take longer for a response. If you have questions that need a more immediate answer, you can feel free to call the Gold Office at 708-588-8710. Mrs. Chobot can then direct your questions to either Mr. Sorensen, Mrs. Johnson or Ms. Cannon during that time (OR  feel free to contact Mr. Sorensen regarding any Brook Park questions, Ms. Cannon about any classroom specific related questions or Mrs. Johnson with any discipline or incident questions).

Thank you as always for your support and positivity. I will miss seeing the students and families tremendously during the time of my leave! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

One School One Book:

One School, One Book begins today! The youngest or only child at Brook Park will bring home the book for your family. One School, One Book is a program held by many schools across the country to promote the love of reading in the K-5 school community and at home. With that, the books that are chosen are often times above younger students’ reading level and are intended to be read aloud to your child/ren each night.

This has become a great tradition throughout the years at Brook Park and has enhanced our community bond. Please know that this is a voluntary opportunity for families. If you have found this year’s book to not be a good fit for your child or family, please do not feel you need to participate. We are so happy to be able to offer this opportunity with the BPC’s assistance for the 12th year!

Please visit https://sites.google.com/district95.org/osob/home for daily trivia questions and additional activities!

We would also like to thank Nonna's Good Life Pizza in La Grange for gifting every student a free slice of pizza! Please look for the book mark with coupon in your child's folder.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact:
