Superstar families,
We had a great week here at Brook Park! Students are back into the routines of their classrooms and getting started on a successful year of learning. Please take a moment to read about some upcoming things and announcements.
No School:
Please remember there is no school for students on Friday, September 17th. This is an institute day for the teachers to continue their professional development.
Safety Drills:
This past week we conducted a bus evacuation drill to learn about bus safety and a fire drill (without the alarm). We will be doing an intruder drill and severe weather drill over the next two weeks. While we hope we never have to do these drills in a real situation we know how important it is to be prepared.
MAP Testing:
We are finishing up MAP testing and we were very proud of the students' hard work on the tests. We look forward to goal setting with the students and working really hard in math and reading to improve their individual scores.
Dismissal and Arrival:
Just a reminder at arrival and dismissal to please not bring your dogs. This is due to allergies and some studentsโ fear of dogs.
If you need to cross the street on Raymond, please do not cross in the middle of the street in front of the car line. Please utilize the crosswalk in order to keep everyone that is walking and in the cars safe. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Attendance:
Please state a specific reason for your childโs absence on the attendance line if your child will be absent from school. The more specific you can be, the easiest it is to filter through
Community Offerings:
Please take a moment to look at the community offerings happening around Brook Park:
