We had a wonderful yet chilly week here at Brook Park! We are so proud of all of our students as they have taken their MAP tests over the past two weeks and done a great job. Here are a few reminders about upcoming things:
Upcoming Days Off:
Just a reminder that there is no school February 8th, February 12th or February 15th.
5 Essentials Survey:
We are inviting parents to complete the 5 Essentials Survey about Brook Park School and the link is http://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/survey/parent/ This information is important for us to grow as a school. The survey is open from Feb. 3, 2021 and closes April 2, 2021.
Valentines Day:
Unfortunately, we will not be allowing items from home including cards this year for Valentine’s Day due to ISBE and IDPH regulations. 😔 The teachers will still incorporate fun Valentine’s Day themed activities into the classroom to celebrate the holiday.
District Wellness:

100th Day of School:
We are even more excited than in a typical year to celebrate the 100th day of school! Our 100th day of school is Wednesday, February 10th.
Kindergarten Enrollment:
Kindergarten Enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year will take place on Monday, February 8th. You should have received a confirmation email with your time and directions for Monday. Please be sure to refer to that email and let us know if you have any questions.
Snow:
We know there is quite an accumulation of snow around the school. Please avoid having students play in and around the snow during arrival and dismissal times to ensure the safety of all students. We are making reminder announcements each day as well. Thank you for your cooperation in this!
